It’s going to take a little while before I can digest all the rich information and conversations I absorbed during my first experience at a Podcamp event. I Erased My Whole Hard Drive…

…On purpose! As mentioned in a previous post, my 4+ year-old laptop was starting to exhibit behaviors typical of an older machine: Slow start up times Weak multitasking Slow internet transfer HUGE applications folder Etc. It was time for a refresh. I backed-up my computer twice, using Time Machine for one backup, Carbon Copy Cloner for the other. Approval Ratings

Stumbled across an interesting stat the other day.  In the recent past, our President’s Approval Rating has dropped to as low as 41%.  What I find interesting about this is that I had to stumble across this stat to know about it.  Our previous president’s approval rating was broadcast among multiple news channels daily, and it seemed as if we were consistently bombarded with how “horrible” he was in America’s eyes.  How is it that our current leader isn’t receiving the same treatment by the media?  Fox News gets ripped a new one all the time for their...

New Throwback R&B

Maybe it’s just the music that I’ve stumbled across lately.  Perhaps I’m just in the mood.  Whatever it may be, I’m a sucker for these throwback/vintage/classic R&B artists who seem to be coming out of the woodwork these days.  It might’ve started with the success of Amy Winehouse, leading to Duffy – and even possibly Adele.  But the old-school R&B sounds from the late 60s to early 70s is definitely appearing more in modern artists, and I dig it.  The classic sound with soulful voices, upbeat music, solid drums and bass, and killer horns.
